Product Description Dr. Weil's high-quality source of omega-3 nutrition. dietary supplement Q: Do I really need to supplement with an omega-3 complex? A: We all need these "healthy fats", which are found primarily in oily fish that live in deep cold water. Research indicates that they promote cardiovascular health while also supporting brain function.* Weil Omega-3 Complex is derived from molecularly distilled fish oil that is independently tested for heavy metals (mercury and lead) and other contaminates (including PCBs). - Andrew Weil, M.D. Andrew Weil, M.D, donates all his after-tax profits from the sale of Weil Nutritional Supplements to the Weil Foundation, an organization dedicated to sustaining the vision of integrative medicine. Dr. Weil's Omega 3 May 15, 2007 Daniel I. Hall (Searsport, Maine United States) 20 out of 21 found this review helpful
It's more expensive than a lot of (fish oil) omega 3 supplements but it is much more refined, to the molecular level, and will not come back to haunt you all day as some "fish oil" pills do. At least in my case, anyway, some fish oil supplements that I have taken go down easy but afterward make me feel as if I had drunk a pint of fish oil right out of the factory ship. I can taste it all day long, and it's not a pleasant taste.
I Trust this Dr. Weil Product March 13, 2010 J. Barrett 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought the Weil Omega-3 softgels because I liked the fact that the company tests its fish oil for heavy metals and contaminants and because the fish oil is from a sustainably managed fishery. (The fish are Peruvian sardines and anchovies and because they are small, young fish they are less likely to contain heavy metals in the first place.) I have never experienced the fishy taste or aftertaste that other reviewers cite. I take the softgels daily. They are a tad large, but somehow the softgel is perfectly easy to swallow. I intend to buy these again on Amazon.com.

Very good product. I have already ordered more. I have not been eating much fish and have been working too much on computer recently. I feel much sharper after taking these and eating some bananas. I say give it a go.
